I know, we went to a brunch place for dinner. This was actually a last minute additional to our trip, mainly because the cookbook on my shelf was saying, "why don't you visit me?" Okay. We will!

Luckily, there was no line-up, but the place did get full by the time we were done eating. One thing I am still amazed by is how many tables restaurants in New York can fit in. I always end up sitting on the inside because it requires a special tippy-toe and suck-in-your-belly maneuver to get in. Or, the server simply pulls the table out for you.

Mmm look at all those pies!

I went for the fried chicken with buttermilk waffles and maple syrup. I got to choose another side, so to give myself some vegetables, I got broccoli with garlic.

The waffles were very light and fluffy, they were so soft I could have used them to wrap the chicken! It made me know that breakfast and brunch here would be so much yummier.

Howard ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf and had hush puppies and crusty mac n cheese as his two sides. I think I took a few hush puppies off his plate. =)

You may have noticed, no pie photo? No, we were too full. =(

  1. House cured bacon? That a good enough driving force for me. I need to visit NY again soon!
