Gingerbread Cupcake Kit

A friend of ours gave us this Gingerbread Cupcake Kit for the holidays. I thought it would be fun to take it out for a quick treat today.

The kit included gingerbread cake mix, cinnamon frosting mix, sprinkles, and 8 gingerbread people picks. I had to bring the cupcake liners, vegetable oil, egg, water, unsalted butter, milk, and icing sugar to the table.

The cupcakes were easy to make, but I ended up with enough batter for 7 cupcakes instead of the promised 8! I also found it hilarious that the image on the kit shows white-coloured frosting for the cinnamon frosting! Regardless, the gingerbread decorations are really cute.
