Cheer Sport Blacktip Sharks Cheerleading Cupcakes

A good friend of ours is an awesome coach for the Cheer Sport Blacktip Sharks cheerleading team. As a treat for her girls, she asked us to make some simple cupcakes representing their teal, black, and white colours. Howard use to cheerlead with her on their University's team, so he wanted to create some neat cheerleading decorations for the cupcakes, but we didn't have enough time. We made two dozen chocolate cupcakes and one dozen vanilla cupcakes, frosted with vanilla buttercream in teal and white, then decorated with fondant shark fins!

2. The cupcakes reflecting off the Kitchen Aid mixer bowl.

3. GO Cheer Sport Blacktip Sharks!!!

4. Sharks surrounding the Cheer Sport logo.

5. Cheer Sport Blacktip Sharks doing choreography on the cheerleading floor. Don't step off the mat! Okay fine, it isn't a cheerleading mat, just a blue coaster.

6. Swim fishy swim!

7. Circling prey...

8. Bases getting ready!

I also made this motivational poster based on Cheer Sport Sharks for fun:

Cirque du Soleil: Saltimbanco Cupcakes

Cirque du Soleil's Saltimbanco has stopped in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre. For the occasion, we made cupcakes for a group of friends who watched the show last Saturday with us. With this in mind, we designed chocolate toppers in the shape of performers on green icing. Enjoy!

1. Melting milk chocolate for the cupcake's Cirque du Soleil performer toppers.

2. Milk chocolate needs to be tempered at 116°F and then cooled to 80°F.

3. Piping the chocolate figure onto wax paper.

4. A delectable and graceful performer.

5. Vanilla buttercream and chocolate cupcake.

6. Cirque du Soleil performers leap across the buttercream frosting.

7. A performer dancing on frosting.
