Pok Pok Phat Thai

Pok Pok Phat Thai, giving us just a taste of the larger outpost, Pok Pok. Originated from Portland, Oregon, Andy Ricker has brought over the taste of Thailand to New York. This is actually a rather new concept because this location used to be Pok Pok Wings. It's a great place to stop by for a quick and filling meal!

Phat Thai Thamadaa: Thin rice noodles cooked in rendered pork fat with tamarind, fish sauce, palm sugar, peanuts, dried tofu, dried shrimp, preserved radish, egg, garlic chives, bean sprouts, and chili powder.

Phat Thai Muu Sap is basically the above with ground pork.

You can make this dish at home, too! Howard's actually attempted it by following their recipe, it didn't turn out perfect ... let's just say he left the noodles in the wok for too long. I'm sure he'll get it right next time! =)

What's not pictured is their drinking vinegar. I know, it sounds kind of gross, but try it. Trust us on this! We had the pomegranate som with our meal and it was refreshing and delicious!
